They're not Dirty-Carter tracks, although they are related somewhat - it's just me improvising using some of the gear I later used for the Dirty-Carter performance. The voice and ambience on 'This Train...' is from a nearby train station and was recorded out of the hotel window and played back on my iPhone. The tour was fantastic, although the schedule was a little gruelling at times. I don't think Cosey I have traveled quite so much in so little time since touring as Chris Cosey in the 1990s'. Still, we all had a fabulous time and the shows were great and the response was overwhelmingly positive. We met some amazing people, reconnected with many friends we hadn't seen for a long while and made some wonderful new friends along the way.br /a name='more'/abr /During the trip I was documenting as much as possible with my cameras and feeding a (fairly constant) flow of information to Twitter for fans to keep up with our progress. I have a theory that the stale recirculated aircon on Ryan Air flights is responsible for laying us low. Though it seems that every time we fly with any 'low cost' airline we get ill shortly after. Anyway... the Wroclaw trip was interesting. The city was quite sombre and grey, as were many of the people but the festival organisers were great: friendly, enthusiastic and very professional. We also did the usual touristy stuff, wandering and snapping. It seemed as though there was a gothic church at every corner, so lots of photo opportunities./spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; "a name='more'/a/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; color:#000000;"br //spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; color:#000000;"The acoustics at the venue were a little off kilter because of the extremely high ceiling but the show sold out and there were lots of hard core fans screaming for their fave songs. Venice is an amazing city, plus we met up with some friends there which made our stay even more enjoyable... and the show completely sold out too! Which was a bit of a gamble as it doesn't give the audience a chance to applaud between songs, but hey... a name='more'/awe're not a rock n' roll band. Our 're-tweaked' video projections also got a very positive reaction and looked amazing. We've decided to go back to our 80s' gigging method of traveling very, very light. Which in this case means I'll be performing with just Ableton Live on a PowerBook, a small MIDI keyboard (/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana-Italic; "emEdirol PCR-M1/em/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; ") and a MIDI fader controller (/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana-Italic; "emFaderfox/em/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; "). While Cosey will be playing her cornet, harmonica, Baby Kay guitar (thru a Boss GT6) and vocalising through a processor (/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana-Italic; "ema Boss VF1/em/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; ").br /For anyone who saw our shows in 2004/5 we are reworking/remixing those video projections (yet) again and they are looking incredible. The graphics are a mixture of real images and manipulated video and have an organic/fluid feel and complement the tracks really well (/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana-Italic; "emone five minute section alone took 30 hours to render!/em/spanspan style="font:10px Verdana, serif; ").br /br /TG album release update:br /OK... the release of the new TG album 'Part Two - Endless Not' is still delayed. But it seems the reasons why are not as clear cut as I thought. It's a long, boring story which basically boils down to a certain amount of confusion and miscommunication between TG members, TG management and Mute. No 'one' person or organisation is to blame and we are now all working towards getting a definitive 'official release date' that will be kept to.
