THROBBING GRISTLE COLLABORATION with CERITH WYN EVANS
During 2007-2008 Throbbing Gristle collaborated with renowned artist Cerith Wyn Evans.
The piece entitled A=p=p=a=r=i=t=i=o=n consists of a large sculpture incorporating 16 suspended and highly polished circular ‘Audio Spotlight’ panels. Chris Carter, Peter Christopherson and Cosey Fanni Tutti (TG) composed a special multi-channel soundtrack that plays back through the sculpture.
A=p=p=a=r=i=t=i=o=n formed the central part of the 2008 Yokohama Triennial in Japan.
The installation was also exhibited at Tramway in Glasgow, Scotland in 2009.
A=p=p=a=r=i=t=i=o=n is now owned by the Pompidou Museum in Paris, France.
A=p=p=a=r=i=t=i=o=n is a remarkable audio structure and if you have the opportunity we urge you to visit the exhibition to participation and interact with what is truly a unique aural experience.
